The Stellenbosch Botanical Gardens are conveniently located near the downtown area. The oldest university garden in South Africa, this botanical park is home to indigenous and exotic plant species. Walk over wooded paths and wade across ponds and streams. There are koi ponds, a glass house, and a bonsai nursery, all of which are excellent. There is also a restaurant here for your dining convenience. Teas, breakfast, and lunch are all offered.
